Profile

Operations Manager
Candidate will: Plan, administer, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Operations team. Lead the efforts to recruit, interview, select and evaluate operations engineers and analysts. Ensure all analysts and engineers adhere to procedures and processes. Make recommendations to the firm on how to further the department in areas of operational technology. Ensure system availability and performance of the firm’s operational technology. Develop and review project plans and budgets for new technology. Work with the Project Manager in charge of a variety of project and initiatives. Work with other managers within the firm on projects and operations that relate to their departments ensuring the success of IT related portions of their projects. Analyze, develop, and recommend plans and solutions to operational business processes, telecommunications and data center processes. Keep up to date on new and emerging technologies and systems that relate to firm business processes. Work with other managers in the department to ensure alignment of firm efforts and initiatives. Assist with the preparation, monitoring and administration of the firm’s annual IT budget including staffing, hardware and software at it relates to the operations team. Negotiate contracts and services with vendors; coordinate, review and analyze requests for proposals including ensuring compliance within technical specifications. Develop and implement and monitor the firm’s compliance of IT policies. Spot emerging trends, develop long-term strategies to improve service and recommend appropriate policies.

I would like to see more events occur throughout the year, such as Christmas parties, to help bring together our front desk staff with the attorney's.

Pros : The work here is very interesting and our team is very accommodating and professional in all regard's. I have also found the flexible hours to be very beneficial as well.
Cons : There can be some friction between the front desk staff and the attorney's but this tends to be somewhat commonplace at most high end firms from my personal experience.
