Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for assisting Senior Counsel and closing attorneys in preparing loan closing packages in connection with U.S. Small Business Administration (“SBA”) loans and for assembling a complete and scanned legal file for transmittal to post-closing department . Assists Senior Counsel and closing attorneys in file management and document preparation. Orders and reviews required searches for closing loans. Scans final legal loan documents executed by borrowers. Assembles closing file pursuant to instructions of Senior Counsel. Conducts follow up for post-closing conditions and recorded documentation. Updates the post-closing collateral checklist as additional documentation is received. Develops familiarity with various loan structures. Confirms that the closing file is in compliance with both internal and SBA requirements. Completes the post-closing collateral checklist. Prepares loan documentation for transfer to post-closing. Other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should preferably have Bachelor’s degree. Paralegal certificate preferred. Must have 2 years of experience in commercial loan closings. Familiarity with commercial loan closing documentation. Proficient with file management and PDF software, and MS Office suite. Strong organization skills required. Ability to follow orders of senior legal staff.
