Knowledge Management Attorney - Real Estate
The candidate will be a member of the Knowledge department and will work closely with real estate partners and leadership to support the practice’s Knowledge Management needs and initiatives by providing foundational knowledge tools and by optimizing relevant technology solutions. Will formulate, assess, prioritize, update and report the practice’s KM plan. Curate, create, update and/or make available relevant forms, checklists, precedents and other substantive content for the practice. Also identify and summarize relevant legal, market and industry developments. Capture, analyze and share market trends and key data points, including by optimizing our experience database and by collaborating between attorneys and offices through practical communications. Also improve the efficiency of the practice by optimizing technology, including through artificial intelligence-based solutions, document automation and data analytics, and analyze, question and improve workflow processes to facilitate matter management. Other responsibilities will include developing and implementing training programs for the practice, coordinating and overseeing other attorneys’ targeted KM contributions, and drafting external client alerts and other thought leadership on relevant developments. Collaborate with other business groups, including Innovation, IT, Professional Development, Business Development, Marketing and international Knowledge group. Functioning as an ambassador for the Knowledge department, raise awareness and highlight the value of the firm’s KM program, increase engagement and use of the KM tools and information resources and encourage a knowledge-sharing culture. Additionally, participate in KM and practice meetings to share best practices in the Knowledge department and the practice.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Must have Admission to State Bar - Florida. Must have 5+ years’ experience as a transactional real estate attorney in a law firm. Superior verbal and written communication skills needed. Must have advanced proficiency in conducting research and drafting legal documents. Must have expert knowledge of the typical workflows and needs of attorneys in the practice. Must have demonstrated project management skills and the ability to analyze and solve problems in an effective and timely manner. Demonstrated passion for Knowledge Management, technology, innovation, and change is required. Familiarity with relevant legal technologies is required.
