Principal Counsel - Labor and Employment The candidate will have primary responsibility for the legal aspects of labor and employment matters that arise out of the Company’s Interior Systems business segment. Will provide proactive, high quality, timely and cost-effective legal counsel and support to the business with respect to labor and employment matters. With some supervision, effectively manage disputes (litigation, arbitration, charges, grievances, claims) and investigations involving labor and employment issues. Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations. Liaise with and direct outside counsel representing the Company to promote attainment of objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner. Actively partner with and advise the Human Resources department on labor and employment law. Provide proactive labor and employment legal support in the development, negotiation and execution of Company business strategies.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university. Should have Juris Doctor degree (JD) from an accredited law school. Must have 6+ years of legal experience. Must have mature understanding of U.S. employment and labor laws and regulations. Prior exposure to or an interest in labor and employment law of jurisdictions outside the United States is preferred.
