In-House Counsel
The candidate will be reviewing, approving, and as needed, executing contracts/sub contracts/vendor agreements. Will be developing and implementing policies, guidelines and procedures. Assisting in defense of claims, litigation, the collection of receivables, enforcement of agreements, and representing firm's and its subsidiaries as needed including working with other attorneys to defend and enforce the issues. Reviewing insurance agreements and providing coverage opinions. Performing contract administration/management duties. Providing legal and contract guidance to management and staff. Reviewing RFPs and other solicitations and participating in bid and proposal efforts, including writing proposal sections and providing red team and other review assistance. Reviewing marketing literature and other correspondence. Performing training and monitoring staff for compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory compliance. Maintaining current knowledge of changing laws that could affect the company. Providing legal guidance to Finance, Human Capital, Marketing, Operations, etc. as requested. Conducting internal audits.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have 2-3 years’ experience as counsel for an organization of similar size, scope, and complexity while performing similar duties as required for this position. Demonstrated interest in and command over a broad range of corporate legal topics is required. Must have good working knowledge of the FAR and other procurement regulations. Experience with contract administration, government contracts, teaming agreements, vendors, typical corporate risk mitigation, risk management affairs, and conflict resolution is required.
