Duties:

  • Engage in negotiations with regulatory agencies, governmental entities, and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters and guide junior staff.
  • Stay updated on changes in environmental and land use laws to provide proactive legal counsel.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in land use, environmental, or natural resources law.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex legal information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to professional growth and development.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Expertise in environmental and land use law.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as CEQA, NEPA, and endangered species laws.
