ProfileContested Default Case Manager The candidate will represent the Company in contested foreclosure, bankruptcy or litigation cases requiring in-person court appearances and provide testimony to other loan-related information in support of cases. Represents the Company as a corporate representative/witness at in-person hearings, mediations, trials, and depositions. Works with other Legal Department personnel, Loan Resolution Department, Bankruptcy Department, senior management, local counsel and investors to resolve contested foreclosure and litigation matters. Requires extensive travel throughout the State of Florida and across the United States. Conducts and finalizes factual research and analysis of loan issues to serve as a business records expert on behalf of the Company. Possesses a thorough understanding of default residential mortgage loan servicing including, but not limited to, loan boarding, loss mitigation, and foreclosure process. Participates in conference calls with investors to provide updates on assigned appearances. Participates in settlement negotiations in order to bring cases to resolution and minimize company risk and investor losses. Escalates issues to Management when necessary to ensure quality service.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or an Associate’s degree from an accredited college plus a paralegal certification, and 2+ years working as a paralegal, corporate witness or related area in mortgage servicing. Must have experience in real estate, mortgage and/or financial services.
