Job Title: CMBS Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a talented associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, particularly within the area of CMBS lending and servicing. This position will involve working on complex transactions related to balance sheet financing and asset management. Duties:
- Advise and represent clients in commercial real estate finance transactions.
- Handle CMBS and balance sheet financing matters from inception to closing.
- Provide asset management and loan servicing support for CMBS/balance sheet loans.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various financial and legal documentation.
- Conduct detailed legal research and provide written analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage multiple matters efficiently.
- Attend meetings and negotiate with counterparties to resolve issues related to real estate finance.
- Support senior attorneys with strategic decision-making and case development.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance with a focus on CMBS.
- Strong familiarity with balance sheet financing and asset management/servicing.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking.
- License to practice law in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to gain admission).
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic record preferred.
Certifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Bar admission (or willingness to obtain).
