Assistant United States Attorney The candidate will be responsible for the investigation and prosecution of a variety of affirmative civil cases, including: civil fraud matters arising out of the False Claims Act, DEA drug diversion and enforcement, agency enforcement actions, and other affirmative actions for civil money damages and penalties. Will handle necessary actions at the investigative, trial, and appellate levels, which may include: analysis of large document sets, evaluation of relator complaints and agency referrals, witness interviews, intervention/declination recommendations and pleadings, pre-trial discovery, settlement negotiations, motion practice, trial practice, brief writing, and oral argument. Should have a J.D. degree, be an active member of the Bar (any US jurisdiction), and have 3+ years of post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Should preferably have a demonstrated ability to function as a civil litigator, with minimal guidance. Occasional travel is required. Application Deadline: June 15, 2018.
