Paralegal, Procurement and Contract Administration The candidate will work under steady direction of the Manager, Paralegal Services, and other senior team members. Will handle the Legal group’s responsibilities for procurement transactions and contract administration. Handle the Legal group’s responsibilities for: procurement-related security certification compliance work, and export control license compliance work. Provide support to the Manager of Paralegal Services or other senior members of the Legal Group on other transactions and special projects. Efficiently review, revise, or prepare a variety of procurement agreements on vendors’ forms and/or our forms, and provide focused, value-adding, comments on key issues. Administer our internal approval workflow system, respond to questions, and log key details of signed contracts into our contract administration data base (a custom module in Salesforce). Related tasks include checking vendor legal names and states, engaging in internal and vendor communications, and negotiations on key points as needed. Confer with our CFO as appropriate. Procurement transactions may include in-bound enterprise master agreements and SAAS software contracts, equipment and supply contracts and purchase orders, consulting and professional services contracts. Help keep us out of trouble by handling or supporting the Manager of Paralegal Services’ responsibilities for: Procurement-related GDPR privacy and ISO and SOC 2 security compliance administrative work. Export control license compliance work, which focuses on encryption and decryption programs included in our software (ECCN numbers).
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have BA/BS Degree in a related discipline. Should have 3+ years of years of high quality relevant experience. Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have good experience drafting, revising and reviewing in-bound enterprise master agreements and SAAS software contracts, equipment and supply contracts and purchase orders, consulting and professional services contracts. Must have good experience with contract approval tracking system, and administering a contract data base. Must have strong oral presentation and written skills. 5+ years of high quality relevant experience is preferred. Strong organizational skill is preferred. Intelligence, flexibility, creativity, diligence, responsiveness, and strong communications skill is preferred. Strong experience drafting, revising and reviewing in-bound enterprise master agreements and SAAS software contracts, equipment and supply contracts and purchase orders, consulting and professional services contracts is preferred. Strong experience with contract approval tracking system, and administering a contract data base is preferred. Background in information technology or procuring information technology is preferred. Undergraduate degree in business, computer engineering, or science from a well-regarded institution is preferred. Paralegal degree or certificate is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is preferred.
