Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate work for a busy nine-lawyer firm with pending civil litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout California. Responsibilities include: working with attorneys to prepare, edit and proofread legal correspondence, written discovery, and court filings; assisting with preparation for court hearings, depositions and trials; attending and assisting at arbitrations and trials; organizing and summarizing large document productions; coordinating meetings and conference calls; calendaring appointments and litigation deadlines; interfacing with public agencies and court clerks to obtain and deliver documents; and assist with filing and record keeping systems.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Additional years of paralegal work experience, completion of a paralegal program may be substituted for 0-2 years of the education requirement. Must have solid writing skills, proficiency in the use of computers, and excellent communication skills (written and oral). Must possess a valid California driver's license.
