The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of expertise in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. The role requires exceptional academic credentials and demonstrated proficiency in legal research and writing.

Duties:

  • Analyze and interpret insurance coverage issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Provide legal advice and develop strategies to resolve complex insurance coverage disputes.
  • Draft and prepare a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, dispositive motions, settlement agreements, and briefs.
  • Manage litigation processes from inception through resolution, including conducting discovery, arguing motions, taking depositions, and representing clients in court.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case arguments and strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored legal solutions.
  • Stay current with developments in insurance law and related regulatory changes.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage issues, particularly professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Proven track record of managing litigation cases effectively and achieving favorable outcomes.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar or eligibility to practice law in Massachusetts.
