Litigation Intake Associate
The candidate will deliver stellar client service to clients on behalf of firm while adhering to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession. Plan, organize, lead and control support staff in their performance of: development of assigned matters, analysis of legal issues individual to each case, demand review, negotiations on behalf of clients, initial litigation, resolution of matters, and disbursement of client funds. Advologix attorney dashboard review: review all reports to stay up to date in real time on important issues related to the attorney’s docket and performance, potential new matter evaluation: disposition authority to sign, decline, further evaluate, and escalate serious cases for Senior Attorney review. Expense review and approval. Intake/Potential new matter evaluation: getting facts and reviewing with manager for authority to sign, decline, further evaluate, as well as immediately escalate serious injury or death cases for Senior Attorney review. Meet with potential new clients to execute contract. Insurance/negotiation calls: Meet or exceed TJH goal of 20 calls per day. File reviews: Meet daily on 8-10 files to review case for proper development and compliance with notice to parties and SOLs. Individual supervisor and attorney review meetings. Status Letters: One letter per client/month minimum to update client on status of matter. Client meetings, Address/return all client calls by end of business day. Drafting: follow up letters to adjusters, memo’s to file and draft petitions. Breakdowns completed on matters that have been resolved and depositing client funds. Disbursement of client funds. Obtain client reviews of attorney performance. Out of office sign-ups and after-hours on-call. Revenue forecasting; 30/60/90 report. Individual manager meeting preparation to include dashboard and report analysis. Group Meeting Attendance. Ensure 100% compliance on grade cards. Ensure ethical and legal obligations of all subordinates. Maximizing case values and attorney fees recovered. Additional projects, as assigned. Should have JD; must be licensed in Texas and in good standing. Should have 0-3 Years Personal Injury experience. Must have graduated in the top 30% of the candidate's law school class; MBA preferred; or undergraduate business degree with strong business background. Previous litigation experience with trial experience preferred. Should have previous customer service/sales experience preferred with after-hours on call experience. Should have previous experience supervising non-attorneys.
