Assistant General Counsel, Legal Central Transformation Group
Duties: Work closely and partner with members of the Chief Administrative Office, including Transformation program chairs and program leads, in support of efforts to drive consistent approaches, processes, standards, and governance across enterprise-wide Transformation and related remediation initiatives. Provide legal guidance about the execution and implementation of Transformation work product, such as: identifying and understanding legal issues arising out of program management and program group projects; analyzing and interpreting U.S. and non-U.S. laws and regulations impacted by the Bank’s transformation efforts; providing legal advice concerning deliverables, design and execution-related interdependencies, and related horizontal impacts across program groups. Manage third-party resources supporting the program groups, such as outside counsel and management consultants. Provide sound judgment and guidance in the Bank’s responses to, and ongoing dialogue with, internal controls functions and U.S. bank regulatory agencies.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Legal Degree and/or qualification. Bar License (or equivalent) in good standing to practice law. 7+ years of legal experience with a large corporation, law firm, or government agency. Financial industry experience, or other regulatory or general corporate experience. Experience working in a complex, demanding, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. Excellent oral communicator and diplomatic negotiator, with an ability to exercise influence in various mediums. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve Robust analytical skills, as well as the ability to write clearly and persuasively. Strong stakeholder management skills. Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with global business leaders as well as Legal, and other function colleagues. Strong interpersonal skills. Working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and no surprises approach in communicating issues/requests. Motivation, enthusiasm, gravitas, and organizational skills to coordinate large-scale projects end-to-end. Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at the senior management level.
