Paralegal The candidate will be interacting with residents of nursing homes and personal care homes, nursing facility staff, other staff members, service providers, and local funders and state oversight personnel in a professional, appropriate, collegial, and cooperative manner. Will be establishing and maintaining relationships with residents to establish trust and obtain accurate and complete information. Identifying, investigating, and resolving complaints made by or on behalf of residents. Developing, helping develop or maintaining relationships with citizen organizations and volunteers to participate in the program. Legal research and drafting. Data entry and clerical duties; etc. Entering data appropriately in LABG’s electronic case management system. Maintaining time records of all work related activities and enter accurate data on a timely basis into LABG’s electronic case management system as per 45 CFR Part 1626 and per LABG’s procedures. Other duties as assigned Must have Four-year degree from an accredited College or University or an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal or Legal Studies, or have equivalent experience (e.g. at least working with the elderly in an investigative and advocacy position). Should have ability to clearly and accurately communicate verbally and in writing. Must have ability to use office and computer technology, including case management and word processing software.
