A law firm seeks a skilled and highly motivated Associate Attorney to join their thriving General Commercial Litigation practice in Atlanta. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes commercial cases, including trade secrets, class-action defense, and other sophisticated business litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be an attorney with 2 to 4 years of experience, capable of handling challenging legal issues and contributing to the firm’s growth. Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills are essential, along with the ability to think strategically and collaborate within a dynamic team.

Duties:

  • Manage and assist in the preparation and trial of complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research on difficult legal and factual issues, providing insights that guide case strategy.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents for high-stakes litigation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials and hearings.
  • Engage in written and oral advocacy, including drafting briefs and presenting arguments in court.
  • Work independently on legal projects while maintaining the ability to thrive as part of a team.
  • Participate in client meetings, helping to develop relationships and provide legal advice on business matters.
  • Monitor and stay up to date with relevant legal developments and their impact on cases.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in general commercial litigation, with a strong focus on complex business disputes.
  • Graduated from a nationally recognized law school, ideally in the top 10% of the class.
  • Active member of the law review, moot court, or trial team is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present persuasive arguments.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Motivated, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering results.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Admission to the Georgia Bar or eligibility for admission in the near future.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Georgia or eligible for admission.
