Manager, Technology Business Management The candidate manages the execution and continuous improvement of standard vendor selection processes to support companyâ€™s iT Technology Business Management function. Lead cross-functional teams in RFP process, defining business objectives and sourcing strategies, pre-qualifying vendors, documenting requirements, issuing and managing the RFP process, identifying the final vendor that best fits the project requirements and negotiating the contracts with selected vendor(s). Analyzes financial aspects of the proposals to determine the best value for the company. Collaborates with IT business partners, financial managers, legal and vendors. Influences internal teams to comply with vendor selection and contracting best practices. Functions as subject matter expert and advocates for the company. Negotiates contracts, drafts legal language, manages contracts throughout the relationship, resolving conflicts and disputes, amending agreements and terminating or renegotiating contracts as necessary. Manages issues related to contracts and assists in interpreting contracts as needed. Shares knowledge with team members to support the continuous growth and development of all team members, particularly as it relates to contract terms and changes in the marketplace. Facilitates timely problem resolution of contractual issues to minimize the impact of service disruptions on the organization. Enables benchmarking and market-to-market activities to monitor vendor performance against industry standards. Monitors and maintains records of the Vendorsâ€™ and companyâ€™s compliance with contract terms and conditions, commitments and notifications. Ensures all terms and conditions of agreements are satisfied, contractual constructs are fit for purpose and mitigate risk exposures. Works with Vendors to progress the goals and objectives of the agreements. Manages Vendors exit. Maintains performance level under pressure or when experiencing changes or challenges in the workplace. Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or equivalent experience/certifications. Legal/Paralegal credentials is preferred. Contract Management Certification is preferred. MBA or related graduate degree is desired. Should have + yearsâ€™ vendor management or similar vendor relations/sourcing experience. 5+ years experience with a Fortune 500 company is desired. PMP or similar certification is preferred. Experience with competitive bidding (RFI, RFP, RFQ), vendor selection, and vendor risk assessment within a technology organization is required. Management experience is desired. Should have relevant experience in negotiating and executing MSAs, SOWs and SLAs within IT spend areas such as Hardware, Software, ASP/SaaS, Hosting (including IaaS, PaaS, etc.) and Professional Services (familiarity with both waterfall and agile development methodology a plus). Experience working with vendors and sourcing arrangements, preferably in IT is desired. Should have ability to manage vendor selection and engagement processes including vendor relationships and competitive bidding processes. Should have understanding of commercial contracting with the ability to quickly and accurately assimilate key financial aspects in evaluating outcomes. Must have demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of deals/transactions simultaneously. Should have ability to build and leverage strong relationships and networks both within and outside the organization. Effectively use personal influence skills rather than direct authority to persuade others and gain support. Must have ability to draft legal language and capture business requirements in writing. Must have solid analytical and communications skills; the successful candidate must elicit and analyze multiple proposals, create corresponding business cases (including financial reports), and present clear and concise summaries of recommended options. Should have understanding of the marketplace for IT. Must have solid negotiation skills and the ability to negotiate mutually beneficial compromises.
