Paralegal - Disclosures Team Responsibilities: Assist attorneys in preparation, filing and distribution of mutual fund registration statements (prospectuses, summary prospectuses, statements of additional information) as part of their annual updates. Prepare, review and file other periodic mutual fund regulatory filings (N-CEN, N-PORT, N-MFP, N-CSR, N-Q, 24f-2, N-PX etc.). Assist attorneys in drafting and revising legal memos, corporate governance documents and contracts. Assist attorneys in preparation and distribution of mutual fund proxy materials. Prepare for and attend shareholder meetings and draft minutes. Input, review and manage disclosure content in an automated content management system. Draft and maintain timelines, project plans and facilitate disclosure-related processes. Interact with various business departments and attend meetings on behalf of the Office of the General Counsel.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: BA or BS Degree. 4 years of paralegal experience in mutual fund disclosure area. Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Adobe. Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team objectives. Experience with the SEC’s EDGAR system. Excellent interpersonal, writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively and concisely. Attention to detail a must. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects on a timely basis. Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with other business departments. Experience with content and document management system a plus. Experience with NYSE filings for closed-end funds a plus.
