Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Lawrenceville, NJ is currently seeking a skilled Patent Agent specializing in Intellectual Property to support their growing patent practice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in various aspects of patent prosecution, research, and strategy development. This role involves a high level of client interaction and participation in proceedings before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Duties:

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications across a range of technical disciplines.
• Conduct comprehensive patent research and collaborate with inventors to develop strategies.
• Lead meetings with inventors and clients to discuss intellectual property matters.
• Participate in personal interviews with USPTO examiners.
• Represent clients in proceedings before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.
• Assist with all stages of patent-related matters, including filing, strategy, and client communications.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active admission/license to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Strong technical industry work experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.

Certifications:

• Active USPTO Registration is required.
