Corporate Counsel Responsibilities : The candidate will assists in protecting an organization's legal interests and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Provides hands-on counsel to all levels of staff and manages the operations of legal department. Responsible for identifying and analyzing legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations, and assuring legal compliance. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others. Reports to the General Counsel. Negotiating, drafting and closing a wide variety of complex contracts with customers and vendors. Periodic training on the services agreements and the contract process in general for fimr’s Sales and Operations departments. Assisting with responses to RFPs and complex business proposals. Negotiating and drafting reseller agreements, professional services agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and other legal documents. Providing general legal advice as required on matters involving real property. Administration participation and reporting, ensuring and maintaining regulatory compliance. Handling human resources and employment law issues that may arise. Leads litigation project involving outside counsel. May perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited law school with at least 1 year experience as an attorney and admitted into a state bar. Juris Doctor Degree preferred. Telecom/technology industry experience is a plus. Experience with telecommunications regulation, software licensing, and other technology-related contracts is a plus. Must have a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Excellent ability to analyze and solve problems. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong negotiation skills. Must be customer service driven with an upbeat and outgoing personality. Must be proactive with excellent follow-through.
