Contracts Attorney The candidate will negotiate and draft a high-volume of specialized agreements necessary to advance the operations of a fast-growing biotechnology company, including licensing, contract services, evaluation, material transfer, research collaboration, and clinical trial agreements. Will interface with internal stakeholders and external parties to gather specifications and terms necessary for contract drafting and negotiations. Provide and effectively communicate sound legal advice that is informed by a strong understanding of company's business needs and priorities. Work with outside counsel where appropriate and manage to budget. Contribute to the review, development, communication and implementation of policies and procedures. Participate in managing contract management tools and other technology adopted by the Legal Department and train internal stakeholders as appropriate. Generate reports, presentations, spreadsheets and other documents for the Legal Department and internal audience, as requested. Complete special projects, as requested. Bachelor's degree in the life sciences or relevant scientific experience is required. Should have Law degree with admission to practice in a US state. Must have 7-10 years of experience as an attorney, including transactional law experience in both a law firm and the legal department of a biopharmaceutical/biotechnology company. Familiarity with US patent law is desired.
