Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on state and federal privacy laws and regulatory compliance.

  • Respond to and manage data security incidents, including breach notifications and remediation.

  • Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures related to data privacy and security.
  • Represent clients in privacy-related disputes and regulatory investigations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy and security law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with lawyers and non-lawyers.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Significant experience with state and federal privacy laws, data protection, management, and security.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and respond to data security incidents.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar in Wisconsin.

Skills:

  • Expertise in data privacy and security laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
