Patent Prosecution Legal Assistant Duties: Support attorneys in the Patent department. Provide administrative support, including preparing and filing U.S. patent applications, effectively manage dockets of assigned attorneys and/or patent agents, report correspondence accurately and timely and maintain accurate paper and electronic files in accordance with firm/practice group guidelines and procedures. Provide standard administrative duties, including filing, document reproduction, opening new client/matters with conflict searches, maintaining client files, time entry using time sheets and computer based billing system, maintaining email and calendar, and word processing.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 3 years of experience with patent prosecution. Must have strong attention to detail, good analytical and problem solving skills, project management skills and the capability to organize, prioritize and meet multiple deadlines. Requirements include: prior experience in a law firm; excellent command of MS Office, eDocs or similar document management experience; Rainmaker Platinum or similar billing software experience.
