ProfileInvestigative Researcher The candidate will provide investigative and intelligence support to the SIU Investigators. Will primarily be responsible for understanding how and where to obtain crucial information needed to support investigations and providing other administrative and analysis support. Once an investigator has determined the investigative plan and evidence required, the investigative researcher is responsible for obtaining and completing the initial analysis of the information. Be a resource on sources of information, analysis techniques and appropriate presentation and management of information supporting the investigator. Support investigators within a segment dedicated to a specific line of business and further aligned to geographic regions. Research background information and compile initial case facts for the investigator. Obtain information and evidence as outlined in the investigation plan. Provide initial analysis and synthesis of information to present to the investigator. Provide insight on methods to enhance the analysis of requested documentation to improve the outcome of the investigation. Maintain proficiency on in-house databases, information and business operations to provide recommendations on available information resources that will support the investigation. Assist in preparing information for court, joint investigations with law enforcement, or internal presentations.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should be a High School graduate. Bachelor's Degree from four-year college/university is preferred. Prior paralegal or legal secretary experience a plus. Must have an understanding of a variety of information sources and knowledge of various analysis techniques. Prior experience working in systems (CAS, MTV, CCP, CTI, CIS) is desired. Understanding of healthcare industry, claims processing, investigative process, and auditing is an asset. Familiarity with Federal, state, and local law enforcement processes is a plus.
