Attorney Duties: Counsel and advise the business development team and the WDG business on a wide variety of topics, including intellectual property and licensing, general commercial law, contract interpretation, privacy, and antitrust and regulatory compliance; Structure, draft and negotiate complex contracts, which may include development, marketing, and licensing agreements; Coordinate with a variety of specialty functions within CELA including government affairs, intellectual property, privacy, and litigation specialists, to address relevant legal and regulatory matters; Drive communication with internal and external legal and non-legal expert resources, as necessary, to help analyze and address quickly evolving domestic and international laws and regulations, and partner with the business to proactively drive appropriate business strategies; Develop process-related improvements to facilitate and increase the efficiency of the provision of legal services; Provide client education and training on relevant legal issues.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree or equivalent from an ABA accredited law school, excellent academic credentials, and an active license to practice law in the United States; 5+ years relevant experience in sophisticated legal environments, including contract drafting and negotiation experience, and related counseling; Outstanding analytical and communication skills; Keen business sense, with the ability to think strategically and find creative business-oriented solutions to legal issues, balancing legal risks against business interests in complex and ambiguous situations; Strong results orientation with a dedicated client focus and ability to establish a trusted advisor rela tionship with business clients;Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workflow, and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations; Ability to work independently while also being a strong collaborator; Experience working for a sophisticated technology company is a plus; and Passion for technology.
