Patent Attorney The candidate will be handling all aspects of Intellectual Property Law, including: Intellectual Property (IP)-related agreements, patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights on a global basis for one or more business/technology areas of the company. Will be preparing and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications. Preparing and negotiating non-disclosure, license, joint development, and other IP-related agreements, preparing freedom to operate and infringement opinions. Assisting in IP aspects of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Assisting in any IP related litigation including foreign oppositions, and client counseling. Undergraduate technical degree (preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering) is needed. JD degree is needed. Should have 3 yearsâ€™ experience with a law firm or in-house law department. Candidate must be admitted to practice in at least one state and also licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
