Vice President, Legal Affairs Responsibilities: Analyze, negotiate and draft digital media marketing agreements, new media ad agency agreements, marketing-related vendor agreements, digital promotions, social media campaigns (including contests, sweepstakes and giveaways) and strategic partnerships arrangements. Negotiate and draft a variety of programming acquisition agreements, as well as other content-related agreements. Analyze, negotiate and draft various agreements related to network operations and activities. Analyze contracts in response to business questions, and provide contractual and research information to business executives and more senior attorneys to assist with business decisions.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree required. Must be an active member of California or New York Bar. 7-10 years' prior transactional legal experience required, preferably at a television network, studio, production company or entertainment law firm. Must have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to perform moderate to advanced-level reasoning tasks and make common sense decisions. Familiarity with Word and Excel. Must be able to respond to and interact with senior level creative and business executives in a professional, articulate, personable and helpful manner. Must be very organized and able to manage and effectively prioritize multiple projects.
