Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm, located in New York City, is actively seeking a Capital Markets Associate Attorney to join their esteemed Agency and Trust team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a legal professional with experience in structured finance, particularly in Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), Whole Business Securitization, Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), and similar securitization products. The associate will work closely with a highly collaborative team, handling complex transactions, drafting and negotiating legal agreements, and representing key service providers in the structured finance field.

Duties:

• Representing Trustees, Security Registrars, Collateral Administrators, Securities Administrators, and other service providers in structured finance transactions
• Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting primary transaction documents and related agreements
• Communicating effectively with clients and transaction counterparties
• Collaborating with colleagues to manage all aspects of cases and transactions
• Supporting various practice areas within the team as required

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of legal experience in structured finance
• Familiarity with securitization products such as CLOs, RMBS, Whole Business Securitization, and other structured finance products
• Ability to navigate complex transactions and legal frameworks
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and in teams

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York and good standing

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the State of New York
