Litigation & Internal Investigations Attorney
The candidate will oversee and conduct internal investigations, including matters arising from whistleblower / Ethicspoint reports. Will advise and support the Bank’s Financial Intelligence Unit in matters relating to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and fraud. Advice and support Human Resources on employee relations matters, and oversee and manage employment-related litigation. Oversee and manage litigation arising from Firms Private Bank, and other litigation matters as necessary. Assist with litigation and investigations arising out of Firms EMEA region and other international offices. Advise senior management and the Board of Directors on matters relating to Environmental, Social and Governance criteria. Advice and support the Risk Management team on matters relating to insurance coverage and claims.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have 8+ years of applicable legal experience (either in-house, law firm or government). Must have superior writing, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must have strong strategic thinking; commercial and legal judgment; and ability to apply legal knowledge towards practical business solutions. Should have J.D. from a top-tier school and excellent academic credentials. Must have active membership in good standing in at least one state bar, preferably California or New York.
