Junior Associate Corporate Counsel - Compliance The candidate will partner with VP Chief Counsel – Corporate Transactions in supporting Compliance Initiatives affecting firm (formerly TeleTech)’s operations and customers, as well as other aspects of the enterprise (such as employee data privacy matters, HIPAA, TCPA and other eavesdropping and consumer protection statutes). Will provide day-to-day compliance support across the organization, including ongoing maintenance and development of compliance policy. Areas of focus include working cross-functionally at all levels of the organization, effectively communicating across departments, and managing competing priorities related to healthcare compliance, federal healthcare program laws, and CMS regulations.Provide legal advice and guidance, drafting and negotiating contracts including Business Associate Agreements, FDR agreements and delegated entity agreements. Certain corporate governance responsibilities (e.g., committee membership, drafting of minutes, etc.), and the interpretation and enforcement of executed contracts and other matters affecting client relationships, requiring appropriate research, advice, correspondence and follow-up instruments. Conduct research and provide legal and compliance guidance on healthcare, CMS and insurance regulatory matters such as insurance licensing. Gain proficiency and lead FIRM (formerly TeleTech) healthcare regulation compliance. Provide proactive advice on legal, legislative and regulatory matters that affect FIRM (formerly TeleTech) and applicable business units, with special emphasis on healthcare. Partner directly with the senior leadership of the Legal Department, Risk Assurance Department, and the Operations organization, among other areas of the company. Associate closely with employees at every level in the Company and provide legal guidance as needed. Supervise and coordinate the activities of outside counsel. Develop processes, procedures and standard contract forms and tools.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should be graduate of an accredited law school and admission to practice in one jurisdiction. 1-2 years of legal experience in the area of compliance matters affecting multinational companies and some familiarity with the regulatory framework of US healthcare laws is helpful. Experience in practicing law, specifically healthcare or other regulatory compliance. Experience in a large law firm or a combination of law firm and corporation is required. Experience providing strategic advice and counsel to company leader is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to successfully interact at all company levels are important. Must have private practice or in-house experience working for public companies with global footprint. Specific experience focusing on the healthcare industry including knowledge of healthcare-related policy such as Medicare, contractual provisions related to FDR, delegated entity agreements, and HIPAA is essential. Must have general compliance experience coupled with a desire to specialize in healthcare will be considered in lieu of specific healthcare experience.
