Litigation Paralegal Duties: Provides legal work and will collaborate with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal assistants on civil litigation matters and provide legal assistance and support on personal injury, construction, and other commercial cases. Case management, investigative and legal research, discovery, deposition, hearing and trial preparation. Manage case files from filing of Answer to conclusion of case at trial. Investigate case facts. Prepare chronologies for cases. Manage outside vendors on large document productions. Manage case schedule and calendar. Communicate with client and/or opposing counsel on case matters, including scheduling depositions. Assist attorneys with discovery phase, including discovery requests, issuing subpoenas, and preparing for depositions. Assist with document production and review through various platforms. Assist attorneys with drafting and cite checking legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, subpoenas, and discovery. Assist with deposition, hearing and trial preparation. May on occasion attend hearings and trial.

Qualifications: A college degree in Paralegal Studies or an equivalent field is preferred. 2+ years experience in defense litigation matters is strongly preferred. Experience with federal and state electronic filing, trial preparation and support, complex file management, discovery, and organizing large document productions. outstanding organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of the Federal and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure. Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet sometimes aggressive deadlines, and work with minimal supervision. Thorough attention to details and ability to follow up effectively on outstanding items. Ability to produce high quality, error-free work product in a fast-paced, deadline sensitive environment. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and litigation document software.
