A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a robust background in civil litigation. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience managing a diverse caseload and demonstrate proficiency in handling cases from inception through trial. This role requires strong writing, research, and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage cases from inception through trial, including preparation of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Oversee discovery processes, prepare for depositions, and conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
  • Draft and review legal documents and correspondence.
  • Defend commercial disputes, consumer protection claims, professional liability claims, insurance coverage, and bad faith disputes.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to strategize case approaches.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.
  • Effectively manage time and case workload to meet deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of general civil litigation experience.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) with excellent academic credentials.
  • Current Nevada Bar admission in good standing.
  • Experience with Federal Court is a plus.
  • Experience defending commercial disputes, consumer protection claims, professional liability claims, insurance coverage, and bad faith disputes is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and e-discovery platforms.
  • Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and provide strategic legal advice.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Current Nevada Bar admission in good standing.
  • Relevant certifications or additional training in litigation or related areas is a plus.
