ProfilePart-time Civil Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will organize case files, mediation and trial binders, coordinate document productions, set up and maintaining litigation hard files. Will prepare Exhibit Lists, Motions in Limine, MSC and trial binders, party and witness subpoenas, record review and management is essential. Should have 5+ years of pqe. Must be an experienced paralegal or legal assistant with experience in personal injury and general civil litigation case work up, case management, litigation time line preparation, discovery, medical records review, office management skills, quick book entries, legal research. Knowledge of wills and trusts software a plus as we also prepare small estate wills and trusts. Bookkeeping knowledge for a law office also a plus. Knowledge of Word/Excel / pdf / PowerPoint and Microsoft 365 is needed. Experience calendaring, coordinating discovery and litigation deadlines, assisting attorney in conjunction with other staff members, including family law paralegal when needed is needed. Experience filing documents in Superior Court. Candidate should be familiar with state, county and local rules in state civil court is needed.
