Legal Assistant Duties: Answering the firm's busy phone lines. Screening potential clients. Interacting with the general public in a professional and compassionate manner. Document production review and organization. Managing the firm calendar and case deadlines. Managing paper and electronic documents related to active cases and client intake. Filing and E-filing pleadings with various courts. Interacting with current clients/outside attorneys and court staff by phone and via email. Dealing with outside vendors. Sorting and handling incoming/outgoing mail.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: 5+ years working in a law office preferably a litigation law office. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Proficiency with E-filing. Experience communicating with people from all walks of life. Attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to independently manage simultaneous projects. Great phone presence. Top-notch written and verbal communication skills. Maturity, compassion and common sense. Experience using Clio Case Management Software. Emotional intelligence / empathy. Bonus Points for proficiency in Spanish.
