Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Own the entire contract workflow; including developing and maintaining scalable processes, managing contract lifecycles and effective project management. Assist with reviewing and responding to a wide range of contracts including license agreements, evaluation and beta agreements, partner agreements, NDA’s and other commercial agreements. Database management of contract system, Salesforce and SAP. Stay current on best practices and new innovative scalable tools for effective document management. Manage and modify standard contract templates (NDA, consulting agreements, etc). Regularly and effectively interact with senior management and other key internal stakeholders on contract-related matters. Assist with contract life cycle, including drafting and revision, execution, extensions and negotiations. Coordinate with Sales to participate in and research Vocera’s responses to RFP, RFI and RFQs. Manage other legal projects that improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent. 5+ years of relevant legal assistant experience in a technology organization. Strong background working with technology related contracts. Solid understanding of contracts, records management, corporate governance, and business operations, plus familiarity with a broad range of other legal functions. Must possess good judgment and an ability to exercise discretion. Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint. Notary and/or Paralegal certification a plus. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the desire to learn. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to design, implement, and execute effective processes. Superior project management skills with the ability to document and communicate project plans, monitor work in progress, and achieve project milestones and objectives. Highest professional ethics and maintenance of business and employee confidentiality. Ability to work independently and comfortably under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude. Strong consultative skills and the ability to build solid relationships with internal partners and external providers/vendors.
