Wealth Strategist, Private Wealth Management The candidate will be responsible for managing and preparing Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) financial and estate plans using expertise and deep technical planning acumen to drive new business revenue and enhance client retention. Working with multi-generational, complex client and prospect portfolios, the WS will leverage and source internal and external resources and centers of influence (COIs) to acquire new clients. Also present compelling value propositions for SunTrust and the UHNW financial and estate planning options during the Private Wealth Management client experience. Complete complex diagnostic and review of financial and estate planning documents and circumstances leading to a comprehensive analysis, diagnosis and solution presentation in conjunction with the wealth and field teams. Will be directly measured against the ability to attract, retain, and drive new and retention business through partnership with the wealth and field teams. Exhibits and expands upon the core competencies of the financial planner job family. Will work in both the region assigned but also utilized nationally at times, based on complexity of the client relationship and portfolio. Involved in the most complex, UHNW Multi-Generational Wealth Planning and Strategy, typically with clients with assets of $50+MM and above and require the most expert advice in financial planning. Partners with internal and external influencers to attract and retain clients. Resident expert, media, internal and external presentations, content creation and delivery around ultra-high net worth and complex wealth and estate issues leading directly to client action. Requires a significant amount of decision making authority, working independently with partners Involved in the account strategy within the existing corporate policy and procedure guidelines. Involved in the creation, implementation and administration of the entities and structures proposed or operated.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelorâ€™s Degree. An Advanced degrees or licensed/certification required (e.g., JD, MBA, CPA, CTFA, or CFP) required. CFP is strongly preferred. 15 years or equivalent in affiliated financial/ wealth field experience. Must be knowledgeable in all facets of fiduciary administration, tax and legal concepts related to complex wealth transfer strategies. Should be Fiduciary, legal/ tax experience; technologically proficient. Must be highly technical and specialized foundation in fiduciary trusts and estate administration, in addition to experience with complicated estate planning design and discipline. Family Officer Fiduciary and Planning Experience is preferred. Corporate fiduciary experience or legal practice in probate or trust administration is desired.
