Legal Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will be drafting documents, including correspondence, answers to interrogatories, pleadings, motions, and probate court documents. Ordering and compiling medical records and bills and preparing specials. Performing case-related research. Preparing for deposition and attendance at trials. Running reports, tracking statutes, and maintaining and updating client lists and due dates. Communicating with clients. Clerical support, including maintaining documents; calendaring of depositions and other meetings. Should have 3+ years of law firm legal assistant/paralegal experience, litigation experience and/or plaintiffs preferable. Must have Two years college (or the equivalent) or formal Paralegal certification. Should have familiarity with methods and procedures for carrying out quasi-legal proceedings. Knowledge of Needles, Outlook, Worldox a plus. Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word.
