Intellectual Property Associate
Duties: Join a sophisticated practice that protects the IP of many prominent global entities, including some of the world’s consumer products and equipment manufacturing companies, financial transaction providers and energy production companies. Extensive interaction with a variety of clients including universities, start-ups, and other companies, to help protect their innovations.
Qualification and ExperienceQualifications: A Degree in mechanical engineering. Prior engineering experience is preferred. 2+ years of law firm experience in patent prosecution, and USPTO registration. Skills and knowledge related to preparing patent applications for submission to the USPTO and responding to office actions from the USPTO, as well as counseling clients in various intellectual property issues, including freedom-to-operate searches, opinions, licensing, and trade secrets. Strong academic records, developed analytical skills, and impressive communication abilities. A detail-oriented approach, the ability to assume immediate responsibility for matters in an active practice, a collaborative outlook, and professionalism.
