A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Health Care Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in health care litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, law firm or clerkship experience, and excellent writing skills. Experience working with hospitals and in drafting state and federal court pleadings and motions is required. The candidate will have immediate client interaction and work on sophisticated matters. A Juris Doctor (JD) is required, with a federal clerkship preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for state and federal court cases.
  • Represent clients in health care litigation matters, including medical staff issues, patient guardianship, end of life, and hospital reimbursement disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex health care litigation issues.
  • Advise hospitals and health care providers on regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and mediations.
  • Manage case files, coordinate with clients, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation matters.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments in the health care industry.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
  • 3+ years of experience in health care litigation, with a focus on medical staff matters, patient guardianship, end of life issues, and hospital reimbursement litigation.
  • High level of academic achievement.
  • Strong experience in drafting pleadings and motions for state and federal courts.
  • Proven ability to interact with clients and handle sophisticated legal matters independently.
  • Federal clerkship experience preferred.
