The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing expert legal representation in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and domestic violence. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations with potential clients to evaluate their legal needs and secure their representation.
- Provide expert legal advice and counsel on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and property division.
- Represent clients as the lead attorney (1st chair) in court proceedings, including mediation, depositions, and trials.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and court orders.
- Develop and implement effective case strategies that align with clients' objectives.
- Negotiate settlements and manage disputes in both contested and uncontested family law cases.
- Mentor and train junior attorneys and staff members, supporting their professional development and growth.
- Stay informed about current developments in Colorado family law statutes and apply this knowledge effectively in case management.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and empathetic support.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
- 0-3 years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce, child custody, and domestic violence cases.
- Expertise in Colorado Family Law statutes (preferred).
