Job Title: Mid-Level Venture and Growth Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a Mid-Level Venture and Growth Associate Attorney with a background in commercial finance and lender-side representation. The candidate should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience and be able to support clients in a fast-paced legal environment. This role involves engaging with clients, third parties, and professionals to provide efficient, accurate, and quality work. The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients, legal professionals, and third parties through written and verbal communication.
• Deliver high-quality work, meeting deadlines and expectations consistently.
• Foster and maintain positive professional relationships.
• Manage both digital/virtual meetings and in-person meetings.
• Balance physical (in-office) and sedentary work requirements such as extended screen time and phone calls.
• Handle competing demands and pressures in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with all tasks or projects as assigned by the firm.

Requirements:

• At least 4+ years of experience in lender-side representation for commercial finance matters.
• Experience working with banks or private credit funds on loans to technology, life sciences, and middle-market companies preferred.
• Admitted to practice law in Illinois.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Illinois State Bar Admission.
