Enterprise Risk Analyst - Managing the Compliance Hotline The candidate will provide complete event detail to relevant departments and personnel and minimize risk of clinical liability due delayed communication and intervention: Daily review and management of database worklist. Contact facility administration for completion of event details and system entry. Determine distribution based on clinical criteria. Complete required reporting to federal agencies related to medical device related events, when indicated. Identify compliance-related violations and/or risk areas: Process daily upload of internal reports received through company hotline. Manually create reports received via fax, internet, US mail, internal department, etc. Review report content for appropriate action and assignment based on allegations. Evaluate investigative response for closure approval and involve relevant parties when necessary. Prevent federal fines and penalties due to employment of barred individuals: Conduct monthly company-wide OIG/GSA screening of employees. Determine financial impact of identified violations. Maintain spreadsheet to reflect identified individuals and outcomes. Report negative findings to Sr. Director of Compliance, Support Center representatives and Division representatives. Conduct and document initial data inquiry for potential breaches of protected health information: Identify potential breaches of protected health information that are in need of follow up investigation. Provide preliminary notification to relevant parties and initiate the appropriate requests for information. Compile and document investigative information within electronic database and finalize closure of reports. Provide research that illustrates comprehensive view of data and value of Enterprise Risk Reporting: Interpret data trends in order to define relevant patterns and need for intervention. Produce and distribute regularly assigned reporting statistical. Participate in system application review process: Provide suggestions and recommendations for functionality, revision and upgrade of relevant systems. Participate in policy & procedure review process: Provide suggestions and recommendations for revision of relevant policies and procedures.
Qualification and Experience
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Paralegal Certification preferred. Should have 3-5 years experience in Event/Risk Management healthcare setting. 1-2 years in Healthcare legal environment is required. Must have good computer skills to navigate ERS and Microsoft software programs. Must be effective communicator with investigative skills. Knowledge of process improvement and compliance issues is required. Should have efficient time and workload management skills.
