Legal Records Clerk/Junior Paralegal
The candidate will work as a legal records clerk/junior paralegal position with flexibility. Position will consist of contacting physician and medical offices, obtaining medical records, tracking receipt of records, compiling and copying medical records, organizing records in order by the doctor’s requested manner and/or chronologically. E-mailing, accurate typing skills of 35+ wpm and answering phones. Must be detailed and prepared to organize up to 200+ pages of medical records (at times) and create a detailed multi-page chronology. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus. Attention to detail, organization and working in an independent and timely manner (chronological order of medical files and documents) is a must. A four-year college degree and 1-year legal or medical office experience is a plus, but not required. If no degree, 2-years legal or medical office experience with these skills is required. Will consider a flexible schedule or part-time work to help address family obligations.
