Corporate Counsel The candidate will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting a wide range of technology contracts and subcontracts with public and private sector customers, including licensing agreements, teaming agreements, reseller agreements, framework agreements, and responses to requests for proposals and tenders, as well as helping drive our worldwide expansion efforts. Will support ability to understand and comply with international procurement laws, directives, rules, and regulations, and will create and train employees on company policies related to government contracting. Work directly with the business, providing day-to-day advice for senior executives and other business members on government contracting issues, resolving issues that arise in existing relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries. Must have JD degree and admitted, or eligible for admission, to Virginia State Bar. Should have 5+ years of public sector focused transactional legal experience. Previous work experience in a top-rated law firm or in-house at a technology company is required. General knowledge of local and national government procurement processes and contracting laws, rules, and regulations is needed. Experience engaging with government contracting officials, system integrators, prime contractors, subcontractors, and resellers is must. Professional level fluency of English, written and spoken is essential. In-house experience at a major cloud computing business, supporting sales is preferred. Spanish or Portuguese language skills is desired. Experience supporting public sector sales in Central America and/or South America is a plus. Experience performing international due diligence and supporting global business expansion is helpful.
