A law firm in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Mid-Level Digital Risk Advisory and Cyber-Security Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will focus on proactive and reactive privacy and data protection compliance matters, including advising on data security incidents and related regulatory investigations. They will also handle compliance with contractual and legal obligations related to security. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on privacy and data protection compliance matters.
• Advise on data security incidents and manage related regulatory investigations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and international data security incident notification obligations.
• Support clients in adhering to contractual and legal obligations related to security.
• Defend clients in regulatory investigations related to privacy and security.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to address data privacy and security issues.
• Draft and review legal documents, including policies, procedures, and reports.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage and prioritize a fast-paced, complex workload while anticipating potential issues.
• Stay updated on developments in privacy and data protection laws and technology.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of relevant experience, including law firm or in-house privacy and cybersecurity breach response or litigation.
• Proven experience in advising on privacy and security obligations.
• Demonstrated expertise in state, federal, and international data security incident notification obligations.
• Experience defending regulatory investigations related to privacy and security.

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in the relevant state (Ohio preferred).
