ProfileTemporary Assistant United States Attorney The candidate will be prosecuting cases involving the distribution of fentanyl, fentanyl analogues, and other synthetic opioids as part of a pilot program to reduce opioid trafficking and abuse. Must have a J.D. degree, be an active member of the Bar (any US jurisdiction), and have 3+ years of post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Should preferably have prior experience prosecuting drug trafficking cases. Experience with electronic surveillance, including Title III intercepts or the equivalent under state law, is also preferred. Should have strong academic credentials, superior legal research and writing skills, and courtroom experience. Occasional travel throughout the District of New Hampshire, and to other locales as case preparation and professional responsibilities warrant, may be required. Travel to attend training at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina may be required. Note: This is a temporary position not-to-exceed 24 months.
