Duties:

  • Immigration Case Management:

    • Conduct legal research and analyze immigration law issues.
    • Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and case-related documents.
    • Develop strategies for complex immigration matters.
    • Conduct and participate in client meetings and calls.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for client accounts.
    • Maintain regular communication with clients and senior associates regarding case progress and critical deadlines.
    • Ensure weekly updates and follow-ups on all active cases.
  • Paralegal Supervision:

    • Delegate tasks effectively to paralegals.
    • Provide continuous feedback and training to paralegals.
    • Supervise the preparation and filing of immigration documentation.
    • Organize and lead regular meetings with paralegals to review work and provide feedback.
  • Marketing and Business Development:

    • Engage in both individual and firm-wide marketing initiatives.
    • Actively contribute to the promotion of the firm's services.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in business immigration law, specifically with H-1B, L-1, E-2, O-1, J-1, and PERM cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Strong client relationship skills and the ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly.
  • Proficiency in using legal databases and case management software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in good standing.
