Director of Well-Being (KCM)
The candidate will lead the implementation of Stinson's vision, strategy and programming to support the health and well-being of all constituents in alignment with our values and the ABA Well-Being Pledge. The incumbent will also partner with Firm and Executive Leadership on well-being issues. Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree in Behavioral Sciences or equivalent health field (Psychology, Wellness & Health Promotion, or related field) preferred. 5-7 years of relevant experience in mental health and wellness required. Ability to gain trust and influence others, work collaboratively and effectively, maintain confidentiality, lead initiatives and programming, and counsel on emotional intelligence. Knowledge of varying cultural norms of well-being and health, HIPAA, Power Point, Outlook, Excel spreadsheets and Internet resources and researching. J.D. degree preferred. Law firm experience preferred and large law firm experience a plus. Work collaboratively with Human Resources and Diversity to raise awareness and increase employee engagement through the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, programming, and communications designed to support well-being Maintain a pulse on anticipated challenges relating to well-being including collaborating with Executive Leaders, Employee Resource Group Leaders, and other constituents to make change recommendations to Firm Leadership. Identify internal and external (local) resources and tools, in partnership with Human Resources, and market options available to support the well-being of all constituents. Use background in counseling or a related field to communicate firm priorities about well-being and direct constituents to appropriate internal and external resources and tools; this position does not involve the provision of counseling services to employees directly. Provide training to firm leaders and mentors on how to spot well-being issues, conduct check-ins, and suggest firm resources. Develop metrics to fundamentally show improvements in employee engagement and retention through well-being programs aligned with Stinson's strategic vision. General and Administrative (10%) Performs other duties as assigned. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong commitment to confidentiality and discretion when assisting with well-being issues. Highly professional with a strong customer service orientation, commitment to meeting deadlines, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong professional, independent thinking skills with strength in problem solving and the ability to show empathy while offering constructive opinions and creative solutions.
