Trial Attorney The candidate: Interviews clients and witnesses. Deals with prosecutors, court personnel, probation officers,, and others, as required or appropriate in furtherance of said representation, e.g. conducting plea negotiations, setting hearings. Maintains case files. Prepares for trial and investigates cases. Represents clients in the courtroom. Any and all other reasonable actions necessary to provide effective assistance of counsel to clients. May include assignment to, or supervision of a specialized practice, such as the juvenile or appellate unit. Contribute to a positive work environment. Performs other job-related duties, within reason and capabilities, as directed. And represents clients charged with felony, misdemeanor, or juvenile offenses from arrest through final disposition of the case, may include supervisory responsibility. Must have Law Degree, Texas Bar License; Spanish fluency desirable; demonstrate skill and experience in the area of criminal law and knowledge of applicable laws and case law.
