A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team in Carmel, Indiana. Duties
- Conduct initial client consultations, including signing and onboarding new clients.
- Manage negotiations with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
- Review and analyze insurance policies and claims documentation.
- Draft and review legal documents related to client cases.
- Work closely with clients to provide regular case updates and responsive communication.
- Coordinate reductions and settlements, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients.
- Occasionally attend after-hours appointments based on client needs.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams and administrative staff to ensure seamless case progression.
Requirements
- Active license to practice law in the state of Indiana (required).
- At least 1 year of experience practicing law, preferably in personal injury or workers' compensation (preferred but not required).
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to evolving case requirements and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
Education
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admission to the Indiana Bar (required).
