A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team in Carmel, Indiana. This firm, located in a vibrant and creative district, specializes in representing clients in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases across Indiana and Illinois. As the firm continues to expand, they are looking for an attorney with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional client service abilities to manage a high-volume caseload. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong desire to advocate for injured clients.

Duties

  • Conduct initial client consultations, including signing and onboarding new clients.
  • Manage negotiations with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
  • Review and analyze insurance policies and claims documentation.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to client cases.
  • Work closely with clients to provide regular case updates and responsive communication.
  • Coordinate reductions and settlements, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients.
  • Occasionally attend after-hours appointments based on client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal legal teams and administrative staff to ensure seamless case progression.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Indiana (required).
  • At least 1 year of experience practicing law, preferably in personal injury or workers' compensation (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving case requirements and maintain attention to detail under pressure.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Indiana Bar (required).
